A Walsingham Support trustee since July 2013, Richard is now a co-opted trustee and Chair of the People Parliament. He brings his personal experiences of services for people with a learning disability to the board. He attended a residential college in Shropshire for 17 years, but has lived independently in his own flat for the past eleven years with support from L’Arche London.

A keen advocate for people with learning disabilities, Richard is a co-chair for the Lambeth Borough Learning Disabilities Assembly and a member of People First.
