Happy Anniversary Greenford Walk!

Residential service Greenford Walk in Middlesbrough celebrated their 25th Anniversary with a celebratory party held at Ormesby social club.

Greenford Walk opened in 1992 with 2 of its original users still being supported at the service today.

Deputy manager Sheila Cody also celebrated a mile stone having been with the service for 25 years herself. Commenting on the anniversary, Sheila Cody said

“I’m very proud to have worked at Greenford Walk for 25 years and made a difference to people’s lives. Witnessing their individual achievements and knowing I’ve had a small part to play in making them happen, makes the job worthwhile.”

To mark its 25th anniversary service users, family members, staff and even ex-employees shared their memories and partied the night away.

Locality Manager Angela Smith for the service, said

“Reaching 25 years as a service is a huge milestone and we wanted to hold an event that really celebrated the history of Greenford Walk and the people involved. Having people there that have been involved in our work during the past 25 years to share their memories made it all the more enjoyable.”
