We are pleased to share our 2024-25 Trustee Report and Financial Statements.

Walsingham Support is committed to ensuring people with learning disabilities, autistic people and those with complex needs can live happy, fulfilled lives on their own terms.

Across England and Wales, our dedicated teams make this possible every day - and we are deeply grateful for their care, expertise and commitment.

Delivering the first year of our new strategy

We have made substantial progress towards the strategic goals of our new strategy, and continue to evolve in response to rising and changing demand as well as ongoing sector challenges.

Highlights include:

  • Developing support for younger people as they transition into adult services.
  • Furthering our dementia and end of life expertise, helping the older people we support to age well.
  • Expansion in London, Hertfordshire, and Gloucestershire and our merger with Thaddeus Trust, in Staffordshire.
  • Securing financial stability with a £0.6m surplus, helping us to navigate a challenging external climate.

Working together: the People’s Parliament

We are evolving our organisation in partnership with the people we support. This year we launched the People’s Parliament, ensuring their voices shape our strategies and priorities at the highest level.

Richard Keagan-Bull, co-opted Trustee who reports to the Board on People’s Parliament activity, explains:

“It is good for the people we support to have their say about how things are run at Walsingham Support and to make sure that they are in control of how they live their lives.”

Looking ahead

Walsingham Support has made significant achievements this year, but we are still in a period of change and transformation. As we move forward, we will continue to strengthen our foundations: being a great place to work, delivering outstanding care and support, and ensuring long-term financial sustainability.

Our five-year strategy sets out how we will continue to deliver on our vision and mission.

It is underpinned by enabling goals that will drive transformation, including:

  • Advocating for people with learning disabilities, autistic people, and those with complex needs.
  • Developing our service offering to meet the changing needs of future generations.
  • Growing the size and impact of our organisation.
