- Forge Fach, Swansea
Walsingham Support is a leading UK charity, with strong values and a successful track record of developing and delivering high quality personalised support for people with learning disabilities and complex needs. As part of our ambitious growth strategy we have launched our subsidiary Walsingham Support Community Solutions (WSCS), to capitalise on our expertise and reach, broaden our offering, and explore new ways to support some of the most vulnerable people in our society.
This role is an exceptionally exciting opportunity to manage Forge Fach, our flagship WSCS service in Swansea, providing valued resources to the wider community, including catering, business services and a cinema. Forge Fach forms the springboard for WSCS’s national growth strategy, where new services and commercial initiatives are piloted and tested, in preparation for a wider rollout of programmes across Wales and England.
As General Manager, you will balance the effective management and improvement of the existing Forge Fach services portfolio. Reporting directly to the Head of WSCS, you will support their UK-wide remit through growing sustainable income streams in a social enterprise environment, and piloting new ideas in preparation for wider rollout.
You will bring management experience from sectors such as leisure & hospitality, retail or business services, and will be able to apply your customer service focus and commercial acumen in a not for profit and social enterprise environment.
Most importantly, you will be passionate about improving the amenities available to the Clydach and wider Swansea communities, and committed to ensuring accessibility for all groups who could benefit from Forge Fach’s work.
