Damian Bridgeman

Joining Walsingham Support Community Solutions in 2021, Damian became a Trustee with a wealth of personal and professional experience. In July 2022, Damian became a Trustee for Walsingham Support.
In 2005 and 2006, respectively, Damian was awarded a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Health and Social Care and a BA in Community Studies focusing on Health and Social Care issues both achieved at the University of Wales. Damian is well versed in disability and social care issues, having lectured Disability and Social Inclusion at the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff University, The University of Norway and all four Royal Colleges of Medicine in England. He has also had articles written in The Guardian, BBC online, Disability Now, Positive Politics, Business News Wales and online journal Medium.
Damian works with all sectors of government to advise them on disability and inclusion policy implementation as well as social care policy development. Damian works closely with Social Care Wales and has helped implement policies and complete various projects with them. He is a member of the Audit and Risk Committee, Deputy Chair of the Improvement Committee and a member of the Regulation and Standards Committee.
Damian is supported by his Personal Assistant, Toby Bradshaw, who works closely with Damian to ensure everything runs smoothly.
When he’s not busy advocating and educating on disability rights and social care, Damian is eating out, travelling and socialising with friends and family.
