Supporting different needs
People are all different. They need support in different ways.
We use person-centred thinking to plan with each person how they want us to support them.
Some people have physical disabilities or difficulties hearing or seeing things. Some people have a mental illness. We make sure everyone is supported as an individual in a way that is right for them.
Some people need support 24 hours a day.We provide one-to-one support for everyday tasks like bathing, dressing and eating.
Other people only need a few hours of support each week to do things like pay their bills. They tell us what they want us to do.
Some people want to learn how to clean their house and cook.We support people to learn new skills so they can be more independent.
