Staff awards announced!
We give awards each year to Walsingham staff who have done a really good job.
Nearly 60 employees and services were nominated for an award this year.Our staff voted a total of 937 times to pick the winners!
Our 2011 winners were announced by our chief executive Paul Snell at our annual meeting in Middlesbrough on 12th October.
They were given certificates and trophies by our chair of trustees Richard Hay.
Our UK employee of the year was James Flynn from Hertfordshire.James did a great job making sure that the medicine process at his service worked really well and that the people he supports were kept safe.
Congratulations to James!
The Wales employee of the year was Lucy Caine who works in our Swansea office.Our Head Office employee was Anita Shah who is part of our finance team.
Well done to Lucy and Anita!
Our UK manager of the year was Tuula Knight.Tuula is part of our Organisation and People team. She is an expert in human resources and is very good at dealing with sensitive issues.
Congratulations to Tuula!
Our Wales manager of the year was Tina Hawkins from Swansea.Our England manager of the year was Philip Nightingale from Hertfordshire.
Well done to Tina and Philip!
Our operations manager of the year was Chris Rees.Chris has done a lot of work to get new services this year and he has got really good feedback from local authorities. He has also made sure his team learn new skills and he gives them lots of support.

Our UK service of the year was our Supported Living North Cumbria service. This service doubled in size this year but still managed to provide very high quality support to people with learning disabilities.Congratulations to all of the staff in our Supported Living North Cumbria service!
Our Wales service of the year was a new service in Swansea supporting three young men with autism. The staff team have supported the men to move from their family homes and learn new skills.Well done to the staff team at this service!

People who have learning disabilities or learning difficulties have problems understanding information, learning skills and remembering new things.

Someone who is the boss of a team is sometimes called a manager.

A map shows you where different places are.

A person who looks after a group of services in the same area is called an operations manager.

The Organisation and People team look after all of Walsingham's staff and tell people about Walsingham.

A service is what we offer to people with learning disabilities. Lots of our services are to do with day-to-day support. We also have services to do with other things like supporting people to learn new skills or have a job.
