Ann wins an award!
Two of our employees did very well at the recent Hertfordshire Care Providers Association (HCPA) awards.
Ann Claydon works in one of our services in Hertfordshire.Ann won the award for Support Worker of the Year (Learning Disabilities and Mental Health)!
Ann was chosen for the award because she has done a lot of work with the local council to stop discrimination.Ann has also supported people to access the community. She organised an allotment for the people she supports. They are now growing their own vegetables!
Sue Blundell works in the same service in Hertfordshire. She was a finalist in the Team Leader of the Year award.
Sue was chosen to be a finalist because of the way she works with staff and managers.Sue did a great job working with day services and the local council. She also organised some computer training for staff at her service.
Some of the people supported by Ann and Sue went to the awards. So did other staff from the service and our chief executive Paul Snell.
They met Max Clifford who was presenting the trophies.
Everyone had a great time!
