The directors run Walsingham. They look after things like money, staff and services. Click on the name of a director to find out about them.
Paul has been the Training Manager, Human Resources Director and Operations Director.Paul became Chief Executive in 2005.
Paul was a member of the board of Association for Real Change (ARC).He was also a member of the board of Skills for Care for 3 years.
Paul is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).He has a degree and a masters degree in Human Resources Management.
Caroline BiddleDirector of Corporate Services (Organisation and People)
Caroline joined Walsingham in 1998.
Caroline's team tell people about Walsingham and look after our staff.
Caroline used to be a Human Resources Manager for the police in London.
Caroline has been Human Resources Manager and acting Human Resources Director at Walsingham.She became a Corporate Services Director in 2005.
Caroline is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).She has a degree in Human Resources Management and a masters degree in Employment Law.
Peter DaviesDirector of Corporate Services (Finance and Infrastructure)
Peter joined Walsingham in 2005.
Peter's team look after our money, computers and offices.
Peter used to be Finance Director and Deputy Chief Executive for Westway Housing Association.He was a board member of Macintyre Housing Association for 10 years and chair for 7 years.
He is also a trustee and treasurer of Langley House Trust.This is a charity that supports people who have been to prison.
Peter is a qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy.He has a Bachelor of Science degree.
Sarah's team run our services for people with learning disabilities.They also try and get new services.
Sarah has worked in social care for over 23 years.She has worked for other charities like Guinness Care and Support, Sense and RNID.
Sarah has a degree in Healthcare (Care Management).She is doing a masters degree in Adults with Learning Disabilities with Complex Needs.

Corporate Services
At Walsingham, the team that runs things that are not directly to do with our services are called the Corporate Service team. They look after things such as our money, offices, staff and telling people about Walsingham.

The Finance and Infrastructure team looks after all of Walsingham's buildings, money, cars and computers.

A housing association is an organisation that helps people who don't have a lot of money get somewhere to live.

The human resources team in an organisation look after staff. They do things like making sure everyone gets paid the right money.

People who have learning disabilities or learning difficulties have problems understanding information, learning skills and remembering new things.
People are born with learning disabilities or develop them soon after they are born.

masters degree
When someone finishes studing at university they can get a certificate called a degree. If they do more studying after they get their degree they get another certificate called a masters degree.

This team run of all our services in the UK. They also try to get new services.

A person who has the right experience and training to do a job is sometimes called qualified to do that job.

services
Our services are what we offer to people with learning disabilities. Lots of our services are to do with day-to-day support. We also have services to do with other things like supporting people to learn new skills or have a job.

skills
The things you can do well are sometimes called your skills.

social care
Some organisations do work called social care. They give support to people who need it. Like people with learning disabilities, people with physical disabilities, older people, people who are ill, people who use drugs and children who have problems.

staff
People who work for Walsingham are called staff.

team
A group of people who work together is sometimes called a team.

training
When people learn new things that will help them do their job better, it is sometimes called training.

Training Manager
The person who looks after all the training in an organisation is sometimes called the training manager. They make sure that everyone gets the right training to help them do their jobs better.

treasurer
Someone who is in charge of all the money for an organisation or group is sometimes called a treasurer. They make sure the money is used properly and kept safe.

trustee
A person who makes sure everyone working for a charity does a good job is sometimes called a trustee. Our trustees do not get paid.
